Wilfred Ndidi emerges as the best tackler in Premier League for 2019
Wilfred Ndidi has once again proven that his prowess in the midfield is no fluke as he becomes the best tackler in the lucrative English Premier League. According to statistics conducted by Opta for 2019, the Nigerian international was heads and shoulders above every defensive midfielder with 161 tackles all through the year.
The 23-year-old has been a key member of Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City side that are riding high in the English topflight division this season.
Ndidi has featured in every Premier League game for the Foxes this season except one, as they sit in second position behind leaders Liverpool. Crystal Palace’s Wilfred Zaha was regarded as the player with the best take-ons and the most fouls won with 166 and 117 respectively.
