The Federal government has made it clear that it would not hesitate to review the reopening of worship centers if its guidelines are not adhered to.
The Chairman of the presidential Task force on COVID-19,Boss Mustapha stated this on Thursday during the daily briefing in Abuja.
Some of the guidelines shared earlier this week included worshippers with health issues like cancer, diabetes, cardio vascular diseases staying at home. It was also stated that vulnerable people and those above 55 years shouldn’t be seen in such gatherings.
“We will not hesitate to review as we progress, should the situation warrant, to avoid preventable risks of transmission “. Mustapha said.
Nigeria as of Friday morning had recorded 11,516 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
