SUG President congratulates the FUTO Representatives at the STSE 2020

The FUTO SUG President, Comr. Timothy Eberechukwu has congratulated the FUTO representatives at the just concluded STSE Competition as they progress to the next level of the competition.

At the just concluded 18th edition of the SPENC Students Technical Conference and Exhibition [STSE] 2020 held at Igbinedion University Okada, Benin, Nigeria, from 20th -22nd February, 2020 with the theme: Exploring Cleaner Oil and Gas Production Technology for a Sustainable Global energy Industry, and an attendance of over 600 students from 31 different Universities around the country, FUTO team emerged as finalists in the Prestigious PetroQuiz Competition, they also finished 2nd in the Energy contest amongst schools in Nigeria as well as 2nd place in the Technical Paper presentation.
The top 10 schools from the Petroquiz competition would be representing Nigeria in the African Regional Qualifiers coming up in Ghana by May 2020, this qualifier would determine the 3 teams to represent Africa in the International Petrobowl Competition in Denver,Colorado, USA by October 2020.
We wish the FUTO team success as they prepare for the regional Qualifiers.
