Shehu Sani quits APC after losing out on senatorial ticket

The senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Senator in a letter dated October 19 and addressed to the chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole, did not give reasons for his action.
The lawmaker had lost his return ticket to the National Assembly after losing to Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s political aide, Uba Sani.
The leadership of the APC had on Thursday submitted the name of Uba Sani to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as its candidate for the Southern Kaduna senatorial district, despite allegedly promising Shehu Sani automatic ticket.
