“My Sound is Something that goes against trends” – Temple Gabriel
One of Owerri’s and Abuja’s finest rap artist, Temple Jeff Gabriel has said that his type of sound is different and it something that goes against trends in the music industry.
The Rap Star in an interview with Bossgist said, recounting his experiences so far in the industry “It’s been wonderful even though I have faced rejections a couple of times but then it’s part of life. My Sound is Something that goes against trends and it’s something I had problems with at first”.
“My growing audience are core rap/trap fans and it’s something am happy about, I’m an Artiste not a rapper! I do music in it’s entirety as an Art!”, He said.
When asked about his journey so far, this was what he told us; “it’s been tough really, I have been in the game since four years, it’s been challenging and that’s what makes it interesting! The transitions, evolutions and all that”.

“I started off as a gospel artiste and then had to find myself in all those things. I was in it because I didn’t want to upset a small section of family and family friends but at some point, I knew gospel wasn’t for me. I went into hardcore rap, then to Trap, then most recently to soul trap, right now am working on fusing soul trap and hardcore rap”, he added.
The Brand, Temple Gabriel, we asked about the history, he said “It was created right on 13th December 2019 with the aim of bringing real hip-hop to Nigeria!. Temple Gabriel Music isn’t even a record label or a Music crew but a collectivity of Talented personnel’s all forming parts and structures of this brand”.
The music Star added that the brand had already existed but as a movement against violence against a lot of young emcees in Abuja getting gunned down. Today, Temple Gabriel has a manager, a video director, a producer and a blogger under it.
