JUST IN: Premier League to allow five subs
The Premier League is poised to allow clubs to make five substitutions each game when action resumes following the coronavirus pandemic, reports The Sun.
With the competition suspended for the past two months, there are fears that when play does resume, players will be at risk of injury and burn-out.
As such, a FIFA proposal will give the Premier League the option to introduce five subs per game, rather than just three.
