“I want art to be taken to the Next level” – Kyriation
A popular arts and craft personnel from the South East, Owerri to be precise, Asogwa Ifeanyi Kyrian popularly known as Kyriation NG has said that he wants art to be taken to the Next Level and well recognized in our Country.
Kyriation who is an entrepreneur but majors in the Arts and Culture Industry, Painting to be Precise. He revealed that Arts in the country has been abandoned and left to go on extinction without help.
Recollecting on his journey so far, he told bossgist in a chat, “I started painting 6 years ago but became a professional 4years ago because I didn’t take it serious the two years earlier”.
“How did I start?, I started back in 2014 when there was a youth talent competition in my church in FESTAC Lagos. Then, when the competition was approaching, every department of the church was meant to send a representative, My departmental heads were like, Hey ifeanyi, represent us but I said, I can’t rap, sing or even dance, what can I do?’, He said.
” I discovered my love for painting after constant practice for the competition of which i could paint something for 5 minutes and I eventually won the competition”, he added.
Kyriation revealed that within the past few years he ventured into painting, he has been receiving accolades as his creativity has made a name for him, from winning competitions and getting recommended for jobs.
He said ” I continued painting on papers and boards, at some point I said, Can’t I go beyond Papers and Boards?, that was how I ventured into shoe painting, Clothes Designing, Designs on the Wall and before you know it, I Started body Painting. Body Painting actually got me the Social Media Attention I needed because people get to wonder how I paint on the ladies, you know what I Mean?” He laughed.
He added that without support, it’s never easy as Arts and Culture are not being recognized in the country.
