History will be made tomorrow, August 04, 2020 as Africa hosts the first Black Philanthropy Summit following the appointment of Ms Thelma Ekiyor, the Managing Partner of SME.ng and Chairperson of Afrigrants Foundation as their African Ambassador.
The Black Philanthropy Month (BPM) is a global celebration and concerted campaign to elevate African-descent giving which is observed every August.
This annual event, which was founded by Dr. Jackie Bouvier Copeland and the Pan-African Women’s Philanthropy Network (PAWPNet) was launched in 2011 to commemorate the United Nations Year and Decade of People of African Descent.
