The Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government of Nigeria, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has joined other world leaders in the campaign for the actualization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Speaking through his SA on Job Creation and Employment, Remy Chukwunyere at the 2018 JCI International Conference in Cotonou, Benin Republic, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu called for governments, organizations, communities and individuals to join this global campaign that is aimed at reducing poverty, diseases and unemployment around the world in 2030.
He used the opportunity to urge Nigerian youths, especially those from Imo State to become active citizens in their various communities in order to create the Imo State We Want.
While endorsing the “I Am Africa” campaign of the Junior Chamber International, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu said that the Imo State Government will drive this attitudinal change campaign in the country by launching what shall be known as… “I Am Africa.. I Am Nigeria.. I Am Imo”.
According to him, this campaign for youths to be proud of their continent, country and state will go a long way in promoting community ownership in creating “The Africa We Want”.
He ended by encouraging African youths to embrace personal development and self employment as the only solutions to the poverty and unemployment crisis ravaging the continent.
