The Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa (UCLDA) has released a press statement as it regards their readiness for the #UgwumbaEnterpriseChallenge, Abuja Edition.

GETTING CLOSER TO THE BIG DAY…
Hey guys, good morning and how are you all doing this morning?
I am happy that the excitement in the house has not waned. Kudos to our facilitators for the good job and the impacts they are making in your lives!
We’re gradually coming to the end of the boot camp and getting into the main thing, which is the PRELIMINARY PITCHING…
As you know, the Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge is a grant competition, therefore, this boot camp will not be complete if we can not select 10 finalists at the end of this exercise.
So, who and who will make the list? They are 10 persons in this boot camp, who have business ideas that will be considered more feasible, more innovative, more value oriented, more problem solving, etc than those proposed by the others, as declared by our panel of judges.
So, how do we go about this? The screening and selection started from the day you submitted your application for this challenge. As I write this, the screening is still on with the assessments of your performances during the various classes.
The selection will climax during the preliminary pitches starting on Saturday, that is tomorrow.
To do this, you are expected to upload a video record of your pitch, telling us about your business idea, what problems it’s going to solve in the society, its viability, its income generating potentials, how innovative, how tech-driven and how you will apply the Ugwumba N1 million grant to realize it.
Woow, I am sure your minds are not skipping ooo? It’s a competition and some people must win…
Interestingly, I want you to be the star prize winner of the N1 million on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Abuja International Conference Center.
One more thing, I want you to be rest assured that the selection process will be transparent and impartial as our President, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and the Board of Trustees are not interested in any of the participants.
Our principles have always been, let the persons with the best ideas win, no matter their religions, ethnic groups, political affiliations, etc.
