The hope of Salima Akinjidi, a six-year-old boy of fufilling his dream of being a medical doctor may be dashed if nobody cares about his current health status.
Salami, a nursery two pupil of D-way Group of Schools, Ologuneru, Ibadan was diagnosed to have a hole in his heart, hence urgent surgery is required to save his life.
He is expected to be operated upon and treated at Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The cost of the treatment, surgery and drugs are estimated to be 5 million naira.
His father, Ismail Akinjidi, a shop attendant and his mother Oluwatosin Akinjidi who is a stylist are struggling to put food on the table let alone affording the medical bill.
According to the report, Salami is currently on oral Proprandol to control his symptoms.
His parents are therefore appealing to kind-hearted Nigerians to help them in whatever way they can.
