Men of the Nigeria Police have finally moved away from Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly after laying siege to the complex for three days.
The police ended their siege of the complex this Friday morning. It was learnt that all the areas barricaded are now opened and there are now movements in and out the complex area.
The police had on Tuesday barricaded the complex and by Wednesday sealed it off without any justification for their action.
The sealing of the complex happened barely 48 hours after the All Progressives Congress (APC) youths protested over the sack of a lawmaker, Idongesit Ituen.
The lawmakers had sacked Ituen following the order a Federal High Court that ordered him dismissed for defecting from the state ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.
Sequel to that order, the House Speaker, Onofiok Luke had declared the seats of four other lawmakers, who defected from the PDP to the APC, vacant.
But in their response, the sacked five lawmakers later met to remove Luke as speaker, electing one of them, Nse Ntuen (Essien Udim State Constituency) to replace him.
