Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has backed his club to do better in their next game after losing their opening game of the English premier League season.
The Foxes were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United at Old Trafford on Friday night – a game that kicked of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
A Paul Pogba converted penalty 3 minutes into the encounter put the hosts ahead, before Luke Shaw doubled their lead in the 83rd minute with his first ever career goal.
United thought they were heading for a clean sheet victory but substitute Jamie Vardy cut short their hopes when he pulled one back for Leicester in the 92nd minute to end the game 2-1.
Nigeria duo of Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho played throughout the encounter for the visitors, who did put up much effort – but it turned out not enough.
Moments after, Ndidi tweeted: “We will bounce back ”
The Foxes will host newly-promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next EPL game at the King Power Stadium next Saurday.
