The Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara on Wednesday held a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari over the Plateau Killings.
According to a tweet on the official handle of the Senate, the meeting which held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa was at the instance of the presiding officers of the National Assembly.
It was discovered that Saraki also jetted out to Plateau State same day to commiserate with the government and people of the state over the killings which raised more questions over the security of lives and property in the country.
While in the state, Saraki will also be conducting an on-the-spot assessment of affected communities.
He was received at the Airport by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Plateau State, Mr. Rufus Bature.
He is presently in a closed door meeting with Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State.
