Entrepreneurship; Investors and my dear Imo State.
In a state like Imo where I come from, seeking investors for a great business idea is something that’s hardly come, on a scale of 0-10, getting an investor for your business would be on a 1 out of 10, unless you’re into transportation business of course, even that would take some time, majority of the ‘investors’ in this state are politicians because the big men out there are only interested in tagging themselves philanthropists with their ‘konja’ works.
Now the question is How can you setup your business here with zero funds from investors, I advise people on a regular to source this funds themselves no matter how bogus it is, for example I want to setup a Tech Hub, I need N5million to set it up completely, all I need is look at my environment, find something that works here, delve into it, make money from it and go back to my original business idea.
In Owerri hotels work, I could deliver prepare a proposal to deliver some gadgets these hotels would need, I need just 10-15 hotels to approve out of the over 500 hotels situated here, that way I’d raise my N5million, someday I’d bring out more time and list things you can do to raise money for your startup instead of seeking investors.
