It was a night of reflection, gratitude, and celebration as Chief Charles Orie, the Akuatuegwu 1 of Umuokanne and Traditional Prime Minister of Ohaji, marked his 60th birthday in the company of family, friends, political leaders, and business associates at Carneval Brazilian Churrasco, Abuja.
The Abuja gathering marked the grand finale of a weeks-long celebration that began during the festive period—one that went far beyond fanfare. In the true spirit of service, Chief Orie commemorated the milestone with a series of medical and prison outreach programs across Imo State, touching lives through generous donations and direct community engagement. These acts once again underscored his reputation as a philanthropist deeply committed to social impact, especially among the underserved.

The birthday dinner itself was a convergence of influence and goodwill, drawing notable personalities from politics, business, traditional institutions, and sports. In attendance were His Excellency Otunba Niyi Adebayo, former Governor of Ekiti State and former Minister for Trade and Investment; His Excellency James Ibori, former Governor of Delta State; Chief Terry Waya; former FCT Minister Mr. Chuka Idom; Chief Charles Ahize (Akpuruka na Orlu); Alhaji Moh; and Dr. Charles Anosike, MD/CEO of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency.
Also present were respected leaders and associates including Rt. Hon. Miriam Onuoha, Chief Kingsley Okeafor (Omeiheukwu), Chief Victor Asams, Her Excellency Ambassador Nonye, and former Super Eagles star Emmanuel Emenike, alongside several other distinguished guests who came to honor a man widely admired for his leadership, humility, and business acumen.
As tributes flowed throughout the evening, one theme remained constant: Chief Charles Orie’s life at 60 reflects purpose, service, and impact. From boardrooms to communities, and from traditional leadership to humanitarian efforts, his journey continues to inspire many across generations.
The celebration was not just a birthday—it was a testament to a legacy still unfolding.
