FG, ASUU resumes negotiations
The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Wednesday began fresh renegotiation of the 2009 agreement.
This is coming six weeks after ASUU suspended the strike it had declared following the failure of government to meet up with its demands.
Wale Babalakin, the Chairman, Federal Government negotiation team, who addressed newsmen in Abuja, on Wednesday, after a six-hour meeting, said they had a positive discussion and are on the good path for finalizing the negotiation.
He noted that ASUU submitted a timetable with over 20 issues and the issues would all be discussed, to ensure stability in the university system.
