Adekunle Gold explains why he and simi went for a Secret wedding

A week after exchanging marital vows with his heartthrob Simi, singer Adekunle Gold has revealed the real reason for making their wedding a private affair.

The ex-YBNL act said in a message on social media after posting a clip of his wedding with Simi on his YouTube channel, that they both have a slightly obsessive desire for a private life that belongs to them alone.

“This January, before God and our family, we vowed to do this thing called life together. To be honest, it’s easy to get lost in the limelight; so we definitely have a slightly obsessive desire for a private life that belongs to just us.

The pair had in December 2018, staged an introduction to the delight of family and friends in the Magodo area of Lagos.

Three weeks later, they were engaged in a traditional wedding at an occassion in Victoria Island, and then capped it all up with a white wedding described as one of the most low key Nigerian celebrity weddings in recent times.
